Carezza Golf Club, South Tyrol Golfing fun at the legendary “Mountain Beast”

A different kind of golf experience—navigating slight elevation changes and enjoying breathtaking panoramic views.

The First—Over 100 Years Old

The name “The Mountain Beast” is no coincidence, as a round of golf at the Carezza Golf Club on the Karer Pass involves climbing up to 400 meters in elevation. The 9-hole course is located at 1,680 meters above sea level and covers an area of 45 hectares.

The breathtaking panoramic view of the Rosengarten will keep memories of a round of golf against this enchanting backdrop alive for a long time to come. Even Europe’s aristocracy was aware of the beauty of the golf course at the Karer Pass and began coming to South Tyrol as early as 1905 to indulge in their beloved sport of golf.

The Carezza Golf Club has been in existence for 24 years now, and the golf course remains one of South Tyrol’s crown jewels. Numerous golf tournaments are held there every year.

Particularly well-known is the Alpin Iron Man, one of the toughest golf tournaments in the region, with a playing time of about twelve hours that demands a great deal of stamina and endurance from the participants.

What's New – 2017 Redesign

A course that offers challenges for risk-taking pros while also providing a sense of accomplishment for inexperienced beginners—that’s what makes “The Blue Monster” appealing to everyone.

Relatively wide fairways provide convenient “bailouts” so as not to overwhelm less experienced golfers.

Taking on more risk increases the potential for success, but it can also lead to greater penalties. This “risk-reward philosophy,” along with the strategic placement of additional obstacles such as bunkers and isolated trees, is a core principle of the golf course in Eppan.

The choice of five different teeing grounds makes the golf course extremely flexible and therefore suitable for players of all skill levels.

The Golf Course at the Karer Pass

Experience a 9-hole golf course, a breathtaking view of the Dolomites, and unforgettable golfing moments at the Carezza Golf Club!

When Europe’s aristocracy came to South Tyrol to play golf in the early 20th century, they found a wonderful 9-hole course there. Golf was popular, and the area around the Karer Pass experienced a boom in tourism.

With the outbreak of World War I and World War II, the area around the Carezza Golf Club was abandoned, and only very few guests came to South Tyrol to play golf. After the two world wars, golf in South Tyrol largely lost its appeal, until a group of pioneers of South Tyrolean golf decided to make the sport attractive again in the region.

This led to a renewed resurgence, resulting in the Carezza Golf Club being rebuilt after a long hiatus and becoming a popular golf destination in South Tyrol.

Enjoy wonderful golfing moments at the Carezza Golf Club!

The Carezza Golf Club at the Karer Pass features a 9-hole course, a fantastic driving range (both open-air and covered), a large putting green, a pitching green, and a bunker for short game practice or refining your technique.

The Carezza Golf Club course spans 45 hectares and, at 2,670 meters, is a challenging par 70. Due to its unique location at 1,680 meters above sea level, South Tyrol’s highest-altitude golf course requires not only technical skill but also a fair amount of stamina, as players climb approximately 400 meters in elevation during the round.

The Carezza Golf Club also features a stylish clubhouse, the Dolcevita Berg, where you can enjoy culinary delights after a wonderful round of golf, rounding out your golfing getaway at the Karer Pass.
