Visit castle Freudenstein during your golf excursion. The castle is situated on a flat hill above Eppan, Südtirol, surrounded by a breath taking landscape. The unique location offers amazing views to the Schlern mountain, the Rosengarten mountain as well as the entire Etsch valley.
The construction of the castle was raised in the central middle age. The castle is surrounded by a polygonal/ foursquare circular wall and has numerous gothic elements in it.
The late gothic carvings in the chapel room, the wall paints in the west accommodation wing, the raddle and carbon fonts in the big hall, as well as the inlaid living room panel in the north wing are just a few of the many sights of the Freudenstein castle.

The history of Freudenstein castle… Around 1244 AC the family Fuchs von Fuchsberg occupied the castle that was build at the beginning of 1300 AC.
At the time the castle standed by two small fortress that were rebuilt in 1591 AC to a respectable property with room chapel for domestic use. At the beginning of the 20th century the castle was renovated in the form we have today by the baron Seilbald, ambassador of the german empire in Tokyo.
The ,,Pförtnerhaus’’ of the Freudenstein castle was renovated with love in every detail and now offers a stylish- elegant and cozy ambient, to experience a few relaxing days in a historical environment.
